We all have our own particular relationship with food. It can be very rewarding when we either prepare meals for our families, or friends, or even when we just cook for ourselves.
I can still remember the first time I cooked something by myself. I was 13, and it must have tasted horrible! I must have burnt it because we had to throw away the pot afterwards, but I all I tasted was the fruits of my labour – to me it tasted great.
In the kitchen, as with most things – practice makes perfect. Therefore one should not get disappointed if an attempt in cooking something fails. You can try again.
In our food section, we have tried to include a variety of recipes to meet the needs of as many as our readers as possible. There are quick and easy recipes that take no more than 30 minutes to prepare, but also more complex ones if you want to cook to impress.
But be aware! Talking from personal experience, never attempt to cook something from a recipe you have just found and have not tried cooking before. This can lead to a disaster, and you might ruin your plans. When giving dinner parties, make sure that all the dishes you cook are from tried and tested recipes.
To help you make your choice on suitable dishes, we have created the holiday cooking file, which includes recipes for all festival seasons and special events from 4th of July to St. Patrick’s Day. We would love to hear from you, our readers if you have tried one of our recipes, and please do rate them, as we are trying to compile a list of the top 10 favourite recipes from this site.
Furthermore, if you have a recipe that you would like to share, do let us know. We would love to publish it. Send your recipes, comments and suggestions to:
